Making Xinjiang Sanctions Work

Corporate Responses

Measures/Responses Documented: 262

On this page you will find the latest version of the Xinjiang Sanctions Corporate Responses (XJS-CRS) dataset. This collates open source information regarding more than 250 corporate responses to alleged forced labour in XUAR.

It is important to note that some companies taking steps in response to such allegations may not publicize them, out of concern for worker and stakeholder safety or for other legitimate reasons. Accordingly, the absence of information about a company’s response in this dataset does not necessarily indicate the company is not taking steps to respond to alleged Xinjiang forced labour.

A list of the companies covered in the dataset is provided in the Dataset Explorer below. Click on the name of the company to go to the complete record. The complete record contains extensive information not summarized on this page in the Dataset Explorer, including with respect to ownership and evidence of corporate responses.

You can filter the dataset by Headquarters Location, any Government Measures by which it is targeted, Sector Code, Public v. Private, whether it is Linked to the XPCC, or whether it Acknowledges Concern about alleged Xinjiang Forced Labour. You can also conduct an open search on the dataset.

For relevant Sector Codes see here.

To download the dataset (before or after you filter it), click on the CSV or Print buttons. Downloading or printing a filtered dataset will render the complete record for all filtered records (and not only the summary data displayed in the Dataset Explorer below).

This is version 1.1 of the dataset (July 2022).
